Apparently I am not the only one who thinks my child looks delicious...
I met a friend at Chick-fil-A today for lunch and let Dax and Hadyn go play in the play area while I went and ordered our food. As I was bringing the food to our table, Hadyn came running out screaming that a kid was biting Dax. I quickly went into the play area and climbed up to the top where I found a little boy attacking my son. I had to yank him off twice (the first time I didn't move him back far enough because he lunged at him again) before I was able to get to Dax and carry him down. I saw that he was bleeding but it wasn't until I was back at the table when I saw ALL the bite marks. Now, I understand that some kids bite (and this was not the first time Dax was bitten)...so I wasn't going to flip my lid about the biting, but I did go find the boys mother and told her so she was aware of what happened. She apologized and didn't let her little boy go play again.
BUT, the thing that really made me upset was that there were 3 adults in the play area when this happened...yes, maybe I should have been one of them...but, NONE of them did ANYTHING. A child is SCREAMING, and he was really SCREAMING...and NO ONE did ANYTHING. No one was looking to see what was going on, no one was asking questions, they were just sitting there like they were oblivious and apparently deaf...AND...one of the adults in the play area was the kids mom that bit Dax. As I carried him down from the play set they all continured to just sit there and stared, not making eye contact...like nothing was happening. I don't know, maybe this is normal, but I KNOW what I would have done.

I would have flipped my lid. YOu know me. I would have yelled at the mom. Big time! That is a horrible bite mark. Poor Dax.
Wow. Those are some serious bites. I would have gotten involved. I would have guessed most moms would!
The pictures make it look BETTER than it was! I will never forget how bad that was...and Dax was such a trooper! And, you were the nicest mom ever and handled it so well!!

I think I would have been in trouble here. That looks so sore! It's one thing for a kid to hit, it's a whole other story if they bite. That mama should have been begging for your mercy.
That's awful. I'm not sure how I would have reacted, but I know you reacted in the right way! Crazy. Poor Dax.
Poor Dax! That's pretty unbelievable, I'm really surprised no one did anything, or even checked to see what was going on. Wow.... I'm sorry that he got bit so badly, that hurts i'm sure.
Holy freaking cow! I would have GONE OFF on that mom (and all the other idiots sitting there)! I hope it doesn't hurt as bad as it looks and that his sweet face heals soon.
