My baby is growing up...and fast. There is not too much I will miss about the stages that we have gone through so far, I am pretty sure I am over the whole baby thing...but here, I want him to stay here at this age FOREVER. Dax is just full of life, happiness, joy, laughter, curiosity, love, smiles and who can resist that darling face??
Dax thinks he can do EVERYTHING his siblings do which can be problematic...but usually ends up just being funny. He laughs when they laugh, yells when they yell, runs when they run, eats when they eat, jumps when they jump. He loves having them around and the few times he is home with no one, he can be a little lost. A fun game of chase, or hide and seek will usually cure his cries for his siblings. Though I am selfish I only play the games that I know will make him laugh...and laugh hard. I can't get enough of his deep rooted laugh...it just brings me joy...fills my heart...I wish I could bottle that laughter up...why am I getting teary eyed just thinking about it???
He loves animals and babies and gets SO excited when he sees either. He especially loves Maggie...he can't get enough of her when she is home and I am glad she is tolerant of the abuse, I mean love, that Dax gives her. I just love his squeals of joy! Remember when the little things excited us?
Those same squeals of joy come every day when Daddy comes home. He LOVES his daddy and does not leave his side from moment he gets home to the moment he goes to bed...which gives me a nice break : )
His beautiful eyes still puzzle me...sometimes they look brown, other times green, and sometimes hazel...but they definitely aren't blue...which I LOVE!!
Dax loves climbing on everything, emptying out everything, and his new found obsession...throwing things in the toilet....and then flushing it!!! It is my favorite. So far I have found (keep in mind these are the things that were too big to go down- who knows what else he has flushed) 3 balls, 2 toothbrushes, a bike light, a marker, and a sippy cup (I washed the sippy cup REALLY good and let ava use it the other day). This super fun game has resulted in MANY plugged toilets and one that no longer works...which I can only imagine is from Dax.
Oh yeah, and the best part...I get to enjoy church again (well 2 hours of it anyway) Dax is in NURSERY!!!! And he went like a charm today! Let's cross our fingers he doesn't change...I deserve one child that actually wants to go. Whoo Hoo to 18 months!!!
I just LOVE my little boys!!! Do they really have to get older?? Really??
